Signed and dated, this softly colored work depicts a young girl holding a canary. with a benevolent face and a smile, she is dressed in a pink spring outfit adorned with bows and lace. She wears a floral hat with ribbon and feathers. She is seated next to the bird's cage, resting on her graceful fingers.
This charming painting is surrounded by a magnificent molded Louis XVI frame, topped with a long bow whose ribbons cascade down the sides.
