in the background of the little church we find summer rocky mountains and a cloud-covered sky illuminated by the sun.

the painting is signed at lower right and is in excellent conservation condition including the frame.

the author giuseppe gheduzzi was born in crespellano (bo) on may 12, 1889. Son of the painter ugo, from whom he learned, like his brothers cesare, mario and augusto, the first rudiments of art.

he refined his training in turin at the accademia albertina as a pupil of andrea marchisio and paolo gaidano.

in fact, his genre scenes and paintings depicting interiors of artisans' stores, antique dealers, and stables are particularly appreciated by the public and critics.
