In this colorful 9" x 12" original still life oil painting, the beauty of artichokes inspire a design that connects to the nurturing aspects of art in the context of color, shape and form.
The painting embraces a sense of texture and wonder in its simplistic lines and use of vibrant color. The palette is alive with its beautiful greens, golds, and deep violet hues. Flat passes of color and artful lines conspire in this imaginative painting that is reminiscent of Cloisonnism.
Inspiration for this still life was the opportunity to work with artichokes as a point of interest. They are one of my favorite childhood vegetables. Interestingly when I completed the painting and was considering a title, I loved the Mediterranean connection and knowing artichokes are an edible flower.
I painted this in my studio on a masonite panel in oils. The artwork is a signed original and ready for framing. Note: The image with the frame is for reference only.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when
making a purchase on Chairish, in the event that your item:

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
