Produced in the 1880’s … Read more A simple and elegant antique “Tea Leaf” ewer or pitcher by Alfred Meakin of Tunstall England. Produced in the 1880’s this large, round footprint vessel features a bamboo style handle with copper luster accents and the traditional tea leaf motif.

Originally, this would have been part of a pitcher / basin set and used in the bath. The motif was originally known as “Lustre Band & Sprig”. Over a century later it can be beautifully repurposed as a decorative object, vase or added to an ironstone or tea leaf collection. The simplicity of this lovely whiteware accented with a metallic copper luster lends this piece to blend easily with a variety of decor styles.
