She stated that there were no issues with its performance in the past, and it functions as it should now, or it would if it had a ribbon. Prior to listing it here, it was gone over in detail in a search for any damage or excessive wear, and it was tested. The machine was found to be in excellent mechanical shape with all moving parts operating as they should, and there was no damage found. All of the keys are in good condition and strike and return as intended. The carriage advances to the right while typing with a bell ding at the end, and it returns as it should. The platen is clean and free of damage, and it rotates properly. All of the levers and other adjustment mechanisms were checked for functionality and appear to be function correctly. A piece of paper was inserted, and the typewriter was tested without a ribbon. All normal functions, including the use of every key, were found to be good with no issues to report. As far as appearance is concerned, there are some normal wear spots on the front, and the back paint is worn. Some of the metal has very slight surface rust, but the majority does not. The rest of it - top, bottom and sides, is looking very nice overall with relatively few blemishes to be found. less
