Originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, a vintage Chaput style kilim rug connoting elaborate tribal sensibilities. Handwoven in wool, the piece exhibits an unusual play of vibrant embroidery in beige-brown and blue atop a pink undertone, seldom seen in such refined repetition. A keen eye would note mild textural sensibilities, slightly thick for this notably textural family of kilims.
Prevailing in great condition, a 6x11 rug exemplifying this provenance.
