Antique 1840's French Empire Louis Philippe Sevres Service Des Bals porcelain pitcher or coffee pot for Chateau des Tuileries.
Measures 8 3/4" tall to top of the lid finial x 7" wide from spout to handle. Good condition - loss to the fitter inside the lid - does not detract.
Covered pitcher with white ground has an elegant gold monogram for King Louis Philippe. Made by Sevres for the Chateau des Tuileries. The gold monogram LP is surrounded by a foliate leaf wreath. Above the monogram is a gold crown. Part of the Service des Bals used at France's royal estates.
