The prominent red geometric emblem with sparks of blue, purple, and green is reminiscent of the Moroccan lozenge motif, a powerful symbol of femininity and the womb often seen in brighter colors and smaller patterns. Hand knotted in high quality wool with one-sided fringes, this atypically large motif (adorned with smaller lozenges matching the abrash purple, blue, yellow, green, teal, and pink colors of the background) was likely a purposeful choice by the weaver to remark a significant turning point in life.
