Les grands trans-Parents is an elliptical silk-screened polished edge mirror with a rigid polyurethane support. Designed by Man Ray in 1938, it was edited by Simon Gavina in 1971 and deliberately features a phrase intended to create confusion in the actual translation. “Great” is “transparent”, that is, the most obvious things are often invisible to the eye, and this is the only certain fact that the American painter, photographer and director, an exponent of Dadaism, has revealed. This is one of the first editions of the work, coming from an important Italian hotel entirely designed and furnished by Gavina This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
