The surfaces retain a time-softened water-gilded finish where centuries of handling have gently burnished the leaf. Each frame is embellished with bold fish-scale carving, acanthus leaves, rosettes, and intricate latticework along the uprights and bracketed bases. Originally conceived for a grand palazzo, their scale and symmetry create an arresting focal point in an entrance hall, formal salon, or gallery wall.

Wear to gilding, small age-related cracks, and scattered losses are consistent with over two hundred years of life, adding depth and authenticity to the surfaces. A rare opportunity to acquire an intact matched pair of such architectural scale and craftsmanship.
