E.W. Strack created this original oil painting in the late 1800s. The painting features a young boy dressed in clothing from that period standing and gazing towards someone in high regard. During the 1800s, it was common for wealthy individuals to commission portraits of their loved ones using oil mediums by local or unknown artists, as it symbolized their prosperity. The artwork is enclosed in a sturdy wood frame from the same era, and E.W. Strack's signature can be seen in the bottom right corner of the painting.
Origins and early history:
Oil paintings are significant in the art world and are highly valued across the globe due to their cultural significance. The first oil paintings were created in Europe during the Renaissance. By the 1500s, many famous artists had adopted oil paint as their preferred medium. This new type of paint allowed for more texture options was more stable and dried slowly. These qualities enabled painters to develop more sophisticated techniques and styles. - Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
