Two columns give the piece a distinctive architectural presence, highlighting the representative character of its design. The desk features three drawers beneath the writing flap and an additional drawer in the crown. Behind the fold-down writing surface lies a finely arranged interior with five small drawers, one larger drawer, and a central little door. Crafted from mahogany veneer on oak and spruce wood, the piece has been carefully refinished with a traditional hand-polished shellac finish, resulting in an elegant, deep sheen. See less
