This … Read more Vintage original mid-century Oil Painting of a European "Boat House". It has a striking presence of bright red hues. This painting has lively brush strokes and is rendered in bright harmonious colors. "Boat House" has abstract thick painted layers and creates interesting depth. The viewer can depict the art as a boat house, town or city scene. Framed with a grass clothe matte and a walnut frame which shows age and distress. The painting it self is in good vintage condition. I am un aware of the artist and origin. The signature appears to be "Desmedt" (Paris). The vibrant scene would pop in any interior ranging from Mid-Century, Hollywood Regency and Modern decor. This original oil painting would make an excellent addition to any home or office!
