Manufactured on the Danish island of Bornholm in the 1970s. Sculptural shape that reveals the designer's interest in sculptural art. Stamped and signed by artist on base. About the designer: Haico Nitzsche was trained in ceramics in his homeland, Germany before teaching at the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, India in 1968-1970. Nitzsche was a leading creator of ceramic art-forms in Denmark in the 1970s and was the technical leader and designer at Søholm from 1974-1982. His work still stands out as functional items with a strong sculptural essence, and at present Nitzsche uses his artistic efforts as a sculptor. He lives and works in Norway and his work has been exhibited all across Europe. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
