Beautiful wooden Japanese chest of drawers (tansu) from the Taishō period.
This decorative piece of furniture features four drawers, and the sides are equipped with metal carrying handles.
At the bottom right, there is a small door behind which two small drawers are hidden.
Originally, this tansu served as a storage unit for clothing, kimonos, and accessories.
The chest exudes warmth with its beautifully aged wood and the meticulous finishing with metal fittings.
On the back, there are Japanese calligraphic characters, a reference to the previous owner.
An authentic Japanese piece of furniture, stunning in any type of interior.
