What's the actual story behind these exquisite lighting fixtures? The matching pair of antique brass sconces came from a 1910 Tallmadge & Watson-designed residence. How did they transition from the interiors of a historic building to your living room? Well, they were cautiously taken down and transported and are now ready to illuminate your home with a warm, inviting glow.

After the wiring was updated, the antique sconces no longer bore their original versions. Thanks to New Metal Craft in Chicago, with their skills in creating fine custom brass backplates, the sconces meet modern-day standards. But what about the switches? These new components were added to complete the transformation.

Standing at 17 inches high, 11.5 inches wide, and reaching 8.5 inches in depth, these brass sconces have a weighty presence to them – about 6 pounds each, in fact.
