The chairs are made with black leather and beech, and their structure is unique. The support structure comprises two trestles made of solid wood, attached to shaped metal tubing, creating a single element for the seat and back. The trestles are joined by two pairs of bolts for each trestle, with large hubs in burnished steel for decoration. The seat surface has two black leather parts shaped for comfortable sitting. The trestles were made with composite elements, alternating two external layers in light wood, which was a pattern further developed in the Artona series. Afra Bianchin and Tobia Scarpa began their collaboration in 1957 and worked with many companies, such as Gavina, B&B Italia, and Cassina. Their innovative thinking and unconventional designs led them to develop numerous projects, experimenting with different materials and shapes. Their pieces are displayed in museums worldwide, including the MoMA in New York and the Musée du Louvre in Paris. These chairs are in excellent original condition, with a fantastic patina. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
