This chest possesses a delightful combination of age, charm, and character, featuring a discreet catch on the top right-hand drawer. The oak-lined drawers, while showing some marks inside as expected, maintain their structural integrity with no loose joints and slide freely.

As customary for genuine antique furniture, the chest bears historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, and signs of repairs and alterations. The locks are untested due to the absence of keys, and later handles have been added. Historic extinct woodworm holes, common for 18th-century walnut/oak pieces, have been treated. Some veneer replacement, along with imperfections and repairs typical of period burr walnut, are present. See less
