Very ornate and heavily detailed and adorned with hints of gold gilding turquoise -colored stones and a red-orange material. Possibly poured resin. Heavy patina and discoloration adds to the mystic of this exotic piece. I have not tried to clean or polish the silver from fear of damaging the remaining gold or taking away some of the rustic appeal. Appears to be handmade. The other side is mirrored and heavily oxidized. There is a metal loop for hanging from a wall or to adorn any other piece. I could not find much information on this piece. I assume is it possibly Islamic. This piece was found in a very large Historic estate home once belonging to a couple who traveled the world extensively collecting many unique high-end pieces of art and antiquities. They had a large collection of sterling silver religious items as well as many Middle Eastern pieces of Judean and Islamic decent. See less
