Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a renowned Swedish designer, best known for his work in the lighting field. Born in 1919 and died in 2009, Jakobsson left a significant heritage in the world of Scandinavian design. His career covered a period when Swedish design was booming, marked by characteristics such as functionality, simplicity and use of natural materials.
Jakobsson founded his own business, Hans-Agne Jakobsson Ab, in the 1950s, where he began to design and produce lighting. It is particularly recognized for its hanging lamps, lampposts and wall lights which reflect the minimalist and refined style of Scandinavian design.
