Original and very special chandelier made in Space Age style; the whole architecture of the chandelier is made of polished … Read more Original and very special chandelier made in Space Age style; the whole architecture of the chandelier is made of polished brass chromed to thickness by galvanic bath; the central structure is a large round tube, and at the top are placed in a radial pattern 12 bars at the end of each is placed a chain that supports a metal cap with inserted a crystal ball; at the bottom 6 metal bars with a rectangular cross-section branch off from the tube, three of these have a crystal ball at the upper end and at the lower end is the housing for a bulb (see demonstration photo); in the other three the arrangement is reversed, that is, at the upper end is the light point while at the lower end is the crystal ball; in the central part of each bar is attached a chain that supports a metal cap with a crystal ball inserted, the same system used for the upper part of the chandelier. with this clever arrangement, three bulbs direct the light upward while the other three diffuse it downward; thus all the light in its path meets both the upper and lower crystal spheres, creating incredible plays of light and extraordinary rays; in addition, the polished metal surface of the entire structure helps to enhance and expand this luminous movement. It is the work of Gaetano Sciolari famous and prolific Italian designer and entrepreneur; designed and manufactured between 1970 and 1975 in Space Age style in an artisan workshop in Milan, one of the many that Sciolari used to make his creations.
