Shaded brown patina bronze proof signed by French sculptor Pierre Jules Mêne (1810-1979). A pioneer in animal sculpture, this artist is renowned for the quality and perfection of his work.
This bronze depicts a Braque dit Briant dog in guard position, holding a duck in its mouth that has lost a leg. It stands on a terrace signed by the artist.
