Traditional oil on canvas titled "La Armada" painted by F. Stonelake RWA; a British artist who was well known for his remarkable attention to detail and his ability to capture vivid and dynamic scenes.
It depicts a group of knights riding on horses that appear to be on the way to battle, a few of them holding flags.
This artwork is protected by a gilt-wood frame, which includes a metal plaque at the bottom with the painting's title and dated quote "And ere the day 300 horse Had met on Clifton Down" -1588
