The 224-page. hardcover/jacket. includes some of Bourke-White's famed photos of WWII, and the construction of skyscrapers in New York City in the 1930s (Chrysler Building). Also, portraits and scenes of life during The Great Depression of the 1930s. .Bourke-White was fearless when it came to documenting high-rise construction (she stood on scaffolds to photograph). She showed the same bravado when she became the first woman WWII combat photographer.. She also photographed for Fortune and Life Magazines. She became a pioneer for women when she broke the negative ceiling in the field of documentary photography.. Her photos, in this book, are as riveting today as in the 1930s. This book is in very good condition, clean, bright and unmarked. - The only note is the wrinkled top of the intact, clipped dust-jacket. - Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
