It features an angel in the guise of a young woman wielding a torch and holding a crown. Her soft hair is held back by a diadem, highlighting her smiling face. She is dressed in a light veil that flutters in the wind with her spirit. She seems unstoppable.
The torch symbolizes life and freedom. The crown represents victory and honor.

Charles Georges Ferville-Suan was a French sculptor born in Le Mans (Sarthe) in 1847 and died there in 1925.
He was the son of painter Charles Suan. He studied at the Paris Ecole des Beaux-Arts in the studio of sculptor François Jouffroy. He debuted at the Paris Salon in 1872 with medallions and statuettes, winning an honorable mention. He is a member of the Société des artistes français.
