Antique 18th century English George II walnut foot stool with original brass bail handles at each side. Highly figured walnut with exceptional color and patina. Upholstered with Pierre Frey cut velvet in a white geometric pattern. Seat opens to reveal a commode. This piece is beautiful set before a walnut secretary desk or vanity. As a footstool it works very well with its nice large size and solid construction. A beautiful and rare period piece. Measures 21 1/2" x 17 3/4" x 20" tall. Very good condition - expected scattered losses and age cracks.
