This attractive original limited edition silkscreen print depict of a tree with ume blossoms. Numerated and hand signed by Japanese artist Soho Ikegami.

His preferred print-making technique is screen printing, but stylistically his works resemble traditional Japanese paintings ("nihon-ga") which combine bright colors and gold leaf.
It's a gorgeous original artwork that will add a Japanese touch to your home or be the perfect gift for contemporary sosaku hanga lover's!

Souho Ikegami was born in 1940 in Kurume City in Fukueka prefecture on Kyushu island. He graduated from Musashino University of Fine Arts. In 1965 he became an illustrator for an advertising and publishing company. The artist has exhibited in Spain and Japan, and among others with the annual CWAJ Print Shows in Tokyo.

Less is more. The colors that he uses are usually strong. His images have a touch of modern pop-art. No wonder - he has worked in the advertising and print media industry for many years.
