She used … Read more "We Need to Stop" is a bright, dynamic and colorful abstract oil painting by contemporary artist Monica Shulman. She used thick layers of various shades of pink, violet, peach, bluet and red to create this rich and bold artwork contrasted with white. This sculptural painting will add dimension and a punch of texture and depth to any space.

Monica creates all of her work in her brightly lit studio along the banks of the Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, New York. She is constantly inspired by nature and the changing of the seasons.
This painting is created on a gallery-wrapped canvas that is painted on all four sides.

Monica has been featured in various publications including The Washington Post, Popular Photography, Create magazine, and the Huffington Post. In 2022 she was inducted into the prestigious National Association of Women Artists. In 2019 she was named "Best Artist" in Westchester by Westchester magazine. Her work has been shown at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City, Photo LA, The National Arts Club in NYC, Art Market Hamptons, PULSE Art Fair, and the New York Mercantile Exchange, among others.
