The 2000 form was designed by the American/French design team Raymond Loewy and Richart Latham and manufactured by Rosenthal from 1954. In 1955, the company presented this delicate porcelain for the first time at the Hannover Trade Fair. In the following years, the form developed into the most successful dishes of the post-war years.
The form 2000 has appeared over the years in more than 300 decors, decorated by famous artists such as Bjorn Wiinblad, Tapio Wirkkala, Raymond Peynet, Margret Hildebrand and Ute Schröder. From 1961 it was included in the Rosenthal Studio line.
