This ceramic tray, plater by Jean Lurçat from Sant Vicens (Perpignan), has a drawing of a stylized rooster in red and black with foliage around it, on a white square enamel surface.
The tray - plater has 4 tiny legs. 1950s.
Perfect condition. Signed in the back.

Lurçat Jean (1892-1966)
Jean Lurçat, a friend of the greatest artists of the 20th century, many of whom passed through France, leaves here a tray representing a rooster in a style reminiscent of Vallauris, and the passage of Picasso. Also an upholsterer and painter, we feel that this ceramic concept reflects his relationship to lines and compositions. Very rare piece.
The master of contemporary tapestry, turned to ceramics in the early 1950s. He regularly stays at the Sant-Vicens pottery LLP workshop, created by Firmin Bauby. He decorates dishes, vases, pitchers and other everyday objects. His work as a ceramist is also marked by monumental creations, such as the one that dresses the radio house in Strasbourg. France

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
- Shipping charges start at $799 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
