The wood frame finish was made slightly darker than the original light oak, and has only a few minor imperfections. The original seat springs are made of sturdy steel that are all still intact. The professional upholstery work is truly impeccable given the fabric pattern, and the wood color change looks much better depending on taste, although we would select a different refinisher upon do-over. less
