Hand-sculpted in pure, solid alabaster this fascinating sculpture is absolutely arresting from every angel. Sculpted by Mark Leblanc, an accomplished designer and craftsmen renowned for his Organic Modern pieces audaciously carved from all-natural materials, this extraordinary piece is ideal for collectors and designers alike. Inspired by the farthest planetary object found in our solar system named "Arrokoth" meaning "cloud" in the Powhattan Native Language, the micro planetary object is unique for it's oblong, double-spherical shape.
With an intricate carved neck between the two "planetesimals" as termed by astronomers, this extraordinary sculpture features exquisite patterns of cream mixed with rose-colored swirls and veins left behind by iron deposits within the ancient alabaster during it's formation millions of years ago. This sculpture is the very definition of one of a kind so when it's gone, it's gone forever. Make it yours today.
Mark Leblanc (currently on display in the ABT Modern Studio & Gallery) is a highly skilled woodworking artisan and sculpture artist who creates exceptional studio craft pieces from his studio in Deland, Florida. He has honed his skills over time and his work is deeply rooted in material, process, and form. Each piece is often one of a kind and is created with a focus on sourcing unique, quality materials.
