Exceptional and rare set of 8 chairs "panton s chairs" designed by verner panton and produced by herman miller, authentic from 1971.
these chairs represent a timeless icon in the world of design and are imbued with history.
the panton chair, conceived by the visionary designer verner panton in 1960, was the first chair in the world printed in a single unit thanks to the revolutionary technique of injection molding.
since 1967, panton's goal was to create a plastic chair that was comfortable, versatile and stackable.
today, these chairs are a symbol of a past era and continue to embody the innovative and daring aesthetic of the 60s.
their presence in prestigious collections, such as the museum of modern art (moma) in new york, the design museum in london, the deutsches historisches museum in berlin and the danish museum of art & design in copenhagen, attests to their importance in the panorama of design.
the set is in excellent condition, with an extraordinary patina that tells the story of the years spent. In purple color, the chairs have small signs of the time that give them a unique character as per photographs.
a couple could be slightly clearer because of the exposure to the sun, easily restored, and only an exhibition a slight mouth in a foot, almost imperceptible in the whole that does not compromise its stability.
