Untitled - Fruits is an original artwork realized by the Italian artist Mario Schifano in 1995. Original mixed media. Painting on canvas with sculpture relief. Hand-signed by the artist on the back of the canvas: Schifano. White wood frame is included. Passepartout is included. The certificate of authenticity is present: N° 95/594 by Fondazione M.S. Multistudio. The work has been certificated in Milan, 08/01/2020. Mint conditions. Excellent work realized by the master of the Italian Pop art movement depicting a still life of citrus trees set on table. We see the still life from above. The color of the table is an acid green that contrasts with the three fruits. The top is also characterized by orange shades that contrast with the green of the background. The work is part of the master's final work. Schifano will die in a few years. This work has been realized by Mario Schifano (Homs, 1934 - Rome, 1998). Schifano made his debut in the exhibition at "Salita di Roma", presented by Pierre Restany in 1960. It attracts many critics by creating monochrome paintings which give the idea of screen. He signed an exclusive contract with Ileana Sonnabend. In 1962, he made his first trip to the United States where he was attracted by artists like Franz Kline, he frequented Frank O'Hara, Jasper Johns, Rothko, Andy Warhol, Gregory Corso. He participated in the exhibition "The New Realists" at the Sidney Janis Gallery in New York. After two solo shows in Rome and Paris, he returned to the United States. In the elaboration of his artworks, the artist prefers to use colors of industrial production for their ability to preserve their brilliance. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller

Cancellations
