This striking antique Ziegler Sultanabad carpet beautifully illustrates the remarkable Persian design and workmanship of the late 19th century. A large central medallion of cream with camel tones and midnight blue accents floats upon a field of soft orange. The elegant cornices and border with repeating motifs incorporate the cream and blue to make a complementary balance in the overall design of the rug.
