Point of View V is a painting that explores fragmentation, perception, and the beauty of partial visibility. Only one quarter of a woman’s face is revealed, as if she is playfully hiding within a dense garden. This limited view creates a sense of intimacy and mystery at the same time, inviting the viewer to complete what is not fully shown.
She is surrounded by vibrant flowers and lush leaves, as though engaged in a quiet game of hide and seek with nature itself. The garden does not simply frame her—it merges with her presence, softening the boundary between figure and environment. Light touches her nose and chin, suggesting a warm, sunlit day and adding a gentle sense of realism within the dreamlike composition.
Even though most of her face is concealed, her identity remains strikingly present. Her lips and partially visible features carry expression and emotion, while her eyes remain hidden, becoming the most enigmatic element of the work. This absence heightens curiosity, transforming what is unseen into the emotional center of the painting.
Ultimately, Point of View V is a meditation on how perception is shaped by fragments. It suggests that even when we only see part of something—or someone—we still construct meaning, beauty, and narrative from what is revealed.
