An impressive and very rare punch bowl with an engraved date of 30ten AUGUST 1913 and on the lower rim engraved names for commemoration, presumed a team trophy. 3 separate pieces, a partially open work, highly decorated frame housing an original etched acorn leaf-bordered glass bowl. Holds 7 quarts to the leaf line. The lid has an opening for a ladle and is decorated with a large acorn finial.
Left and right antlered deer heads decorate each side. 4 feet have different birds. A staghound in the center in between pinecone bough's and detailed open work. Made of silver-plated pewter and silver-plated metal with an old Kayser hallmark. J.P. Kayser- Krefeld Germany. Weighs almost 8 pounds.
Have never cleaned with any metal polish, and have loved decorating with it for many years.
