He was a beloved teacher, lecturer and demonstrator, and co-founded the Valley Watercolor Society. I was lucky to be able to buy 3 of his paintings and this one just might be my favorite! It's the largest of the 3, of a male subject sitting casually in a chair turned the wrong way. I am fascinated by how Labadie uses negative space to give his art airiness, and yet such emotion. It is framed in a chrome frame with professional matting and plexiglass cover. He has signed the bottom. And now it's ready to be hung! See less
