… Read more We are pleased to offer this Gorgeous Antique Louis Philippe French Louis XV Secretary Desk , from the 1840s .
This Desk is made of Burl Walnut wood & Decorated with Bronze.
Featuring a marble top , one large dovetailed drawer and a flip down writing surface that reveals original leather top ( the leather has some damage from age as it shows in pictures), a shelf and six small dovetailed drawers, Original light and wire that needs to be tested by a professional electrician to double check the safety.
Just underneath it there is 2 compartment doors that reveals a shelf inside.
Supported with four sturdy legs.
All drawers with Original Handles, very clean and slides in and out smoothly.
Very unique Original Locks and Original key that works perfectly.
The flip down surface has three original locks , one on top and 2 more (one on either side).
Completely restored ( Refinished Hand French Polish) , very sturdy and in great condition.
