A palette of fresh, exciting colors and simplified forms capture the essence of a quiet moment in a field local to the artist. The landscapes expressive style holds beautiful passes of green, golden yellow and blue in a wonderful mosaic of shapes that capture something different. Adding lively, vertical strokes of the brush to make note of wildflowers courageously mixed among field grass and the strong horizontal aspects of this landscape. Passionate touches of deep orange and red infuse notations of other types of vegetation, while prismatic violet shadows seep into the sunlit scene.

Inspiration for this colorful landscape came from my ongoing exploration into the meditative effects of the landscape. Finding the nuances in a place I've been to many times always stems from points of quiet solitude out in the field.
