lampe gras no. 205 was first designed for offices. In 1921, bernard-albin gras created a range of lamps for industry and design offices. The lampe gras is astonishing by its ergonomics and the simplicity of its mechanics - no screws, no welding - which gives it foolproof robustness. But bernard-albin gras is also one of the first designers of the twentieth century: not content to innovate, he adds an original functional aesthetic to his creations, particularly in the design of the bases and connecting rods. Early on le corbusier was seduced by the modern design and user-friendliness of the lamps and became one of bernard-albin gras’s most enthusiastic supporters using the lamps in his own offices as well as employing them in numerous architectural projects all over the world. The lampe gras then became a legend. Robert mallet-stevens, jacques-emile ruhlmann, eileen gray, but also sonia delaunay, georges braque… this is the first time in the history of lighting that a lamp has been used in workshops, houses and buildings. Apartments. Today this lamp is collected by enthusiasts around the world, especially in france, the united states and japan. Bernard-albin gras talented and visionary design has proven to be timeless. Dcw éditions has acquired the exclusive rights to the gras line of lamps. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
