Rolling Stones Bassist Ron Ronnie Wood RACE HORSE STUDY is an original acrylic on canvas painting with a current retail value $42,000, framed. The subject, his racehorse Joleah, named after his wife of 35 years, Jo and their daughter, Leah. (Ronnie was voted small breeder of the year in 1999 for the exploits of the home-bred Joleah, a Listed winner at Leopardstown.)
Wood, who has been drawing and painting since age 12, studied fine art at the Ealing College of Art in London prior to beginning his musical career. Wood's paintings, drawings and rpints frequently feature icons of popular culture and have been exhibited all over the world.
