Unique and wonderfully crafted vintage Viola Frey attributed production pottery teapot. It is in good condition, with some minor chips shown fully in the photos.
The pot measures 9 inches tall including lid, x 8 in wide, x 12 inches from spout tip to handle. Incised signature on bottom "FREY".
I contacted the Viola Frey Archives and sent them numerous photos, and the Director of Collections and Archives at the Artists' Legacy Foundation in charge of the Viola Frey Archives has said that though she could not find any images of it in their archives, it was made for commercial sale and possibly from around 1969 (after which she abandoned production pottery for sculptural work), and I have those emails.
