The chairs have the original, worn, leather seats. Some of the lacings had been damaged over time and a previous owner repaired or reinforced sections of the laces on some chairs. The leather has a great patina. The original plastic protectors that are normally found at the bottoms of the frames were obviously missing for some time as the bottom of the chrome frames is scratched (and someone used felt protectors in a attempt to spare any additional damage).
