In the distance we see hints of a windmill at the unusually low horizon beneath brilliant bright skies. The work is signed in his typical manner lower left.

Condition Report:
Contemporary frame with minor wear/discoloration; formerly cradled panel, battens since removed; two horizontal restored cracks with associated inpainting along the face of the painting - the cracks appear to be closed with hide glue and it will be important to keep the painting humidity controlled (less than 50% RH) throughout the year; a few scattered surface touchups; cleaned and sealed by our conservator with traditional Damar varnish.
