This is a stunning original antique oil painting on board depicting a huntsman standing next to his horse and dogs in the shade of a tree. Amazing detailed artwork.

James Alexander Walker (1831 – 1898), was a British painter of French descent known for his battle scenes.
He was born in Calcutta, but from 1871 he lived in Paris where he made historical scenes of soldiers.
He died in Paris in 1898.
James Alexander Walker's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from $73 USD to $190,038 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 2002 the record price for this artist at auction is $190,038 USD for Napoleon watching the Battle of Friedland, 1807, sold at Christie's London in 2007.
Presented in an antique ornate gold frame.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations

- Chairish Freight Delivery
