“Venice” – signed archival pigment print on textured paper.
Photography: 2002 · Gum bichromate print: 2012 · Pigment print: 2020.
Edition 1/8, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
The image originates from a handmade gum bichromate print, a 19th-century photographic process using light-sensitive watercolor pigments and gum arabic. Multiple negatives and layered exposures were used to build the image through successive colour layers. Because precise alignment of these layers is extremely complex, each original bichromate print is effectively unique. That original print was then photographed and reproduced as a high-resolution giclée pigment print on museum-quality textured paper (320 gsm, acid-free) for maximum longevity.
Available sizes:
• 25 × 50 cm – edition of 8
• 49 × 101.6 cm – edition of 8
