Highly textured, saturated abstract in a new series of flora and fauna that I’m creating this month for Crooked Tree gallery’s Artist Guild Winter member show that will be hung Dec 11 here in Traverse City, Michigan.
This piece is a product of my imagination…although, I’ve been stung by Jellyfish on several continents! I love the movement of this piece and the slow yet stealthy approach that these sea creatures take in order to nourish themselves with unsuspecting fish.
There are almost ten layers of paint/washes that are vibrant and varied in person. This piece is commanding yet restful at the same time with posts of rest for the eyes.
