Antique claret jug / pitcher featuring an etched grapes and vines design on 6 panels of the pitcher the back has 2 panels that are plain. The etching is beautiful similar to Moser in style and quality. The mounted sterling collar and spout are by Alvin Sterling Company. The handle has a wonderful thumping design which makes it easy to hold.
Signed on the collar with Sterling numbers and Alvin's early hallmark.
MANUFACTURER: The Alvin Silver Manufacturing Company was founded during the latter part of the 19th century. Their original headquarters in 1886 was located in New Jersey.
