The top pediment with dental work carving in belgian black marble, surmounts the beveled original mercury plate mirror within a belgian black fielded panel. This is flanked either side by scrolled brackets with conforming interior belgian black fielded panels. The header and jambs with a flat moulded bolection interior and outside consoles with scrolled tops in belgian black marble. A well drawn and very good quality piece executed in rare marble. English mid-19th century. Opening size 107cm w x 96.5cm h pediment width 109.5cm. See less
